Hot Garlic Cheese Bread
Prep: 15 min - Total: 40 min
1 pkg. (8 oz.) POLLY-O Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 lb. Italian bread loaf
Mix all ingredients except bread.
Slice bread loaf at 3/4-inch intervals almost to bottom of loaf,
being carful to not cut all the way through loaf. Spread 1 side
of each bread slice with cheese mixture. Wrap in foil.
Bake at 425°F for 25 minutes. Serve hot.
Makes 8 servings
Great Substitute: Substitute 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and 1 tsp.
dried oregano leaves for garlic cloves and fresh parsley.
