Oatmeal Brown Sugar Cookies This old-fashioned drop oatmeal cookie is everyone's favorite. Prep: 30 min - Bake: 10 min 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened* 1 egg 2 cups uncooked quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup candy-coated milk chocolate pieces Heat oven to 375°F. Combine brown sugar, butter and egg in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients. Beat until well mixed. Stir in chocolate pieces by hand. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown on edges. Let stand 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely. *Substitute LAND O LAKES® Soft Baking Butter with Canola Oil right from the refrigerator.
