Pecan Pie

Pastry for 9 -inch 1-crust pie
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Rum Extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups pecan halves


Preheat oven to 425 F. Line pie plate with pastry and set aside.

Place eggs in bowl and beat well. Mix in sugar, corn syrup, melted
butter, cornstarch, vanilla, rum extract, and salt.

Arrange pecan halves in single layer in bottom of pastry-lined
pie plate and pour egg mixture over pecans. Bake 10 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 325 F and bake 50 to 55 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.

Makes 1 (9 -inch) pie
